Garnette Willliams Vaughan, 92, passed away Friday, July 10 at Riverview Health Care Center. Along with her parents, Ermon and Delila Hughes Williams, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Clay Vaughan, and a brother, Lemuel Williams. Garnette was a lifelong resident of Prestonsburg, a homemaker and mother of 2. She is survived in death by her son, Glen (Sharon) Vaughan, a daughter, Jeanette (Rusell) James, a sister, Fanny Lou Allen and a brother, Eugene Williams. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Michelle (Rob) Thompson, Jennifer (Gary)Ousley, Tim (Leah) Vaughan, Tiffany (Andrew) Perry, and Bethany (Jay) Inman and 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be Saturday, July 11 from 6-9 p.m. overseen by the loving and dignified staff of Carter Funeral Home . Services will be Sunday, July 12 at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel with Jody Spencer officiating.
