Richard Carpenter Matthews,44 years of age, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Highlands ARH Medical Center. Born April 23, 1975 in Pineville, Kentucky., he was the son of the late Larry Carrol and Emma Matthews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Grubb Matthews. Richard is survived by a sister, Angelica Slone and a brother, Larry Matthews both of Prestonsburg, KY. Also surviving is a step-son, Johnny Grubb and a step-daughter,Christina Carter. In honor of the wishes of the family Richard was cremated. The family has arranged for private interment. Arrangements are under the loving direction of the Carter Funeral Home
