Obituary for Anna Mae Goble (Cline)

Anna Mae Cline Goble, 85, of Prestonsburg, passed away Monday morning, November 18, at her residence surrounded by family and loved ones following an extended illness.Just like a gentle southern lady she faced death with strength, dignity and grace and will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her parents, E.L. and Stella Bloomer Cline. She is survived by her husband, Fred Goble, her three daughters Donna G. (Richard) Barker, Lona G. (Matthew) Vuskovich and Paula Goble. She is also survived by four grandchildren Summer Kurtter, Ashton Adler, Dalton Fulks, and Bronco Vuskovich and one great grandchild, Hayes Katherine Kurtter. Miss Anna Mae, as many of us knew her, was involved in numerous church committees and roles at The First Baptist Church and owned a clothing store in Downtown Prestonsburg for many years. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 19 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at The First Baptist Church (Irene Cole Memorial) in Prestonsburg under the loving and professional care of Carter Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, November 20 at 1 p.m. at The First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Biddle officiating. A private committal service for the family only will be held at Gethsemane Gardens following the service. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to The First Baptist Learning Center Tuition Fund.
