Anna Jean Bingham Howell, 94, widow of Estill Howell, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday.
She was the daughter of the late William A. and Dania Meeks Bingham and is survived by three children: Carole (Bob) Pruitt, Larry (Charlotte) Howell and Judy {Martin) Endicott. She was a loving mother, grandmother, neighbor and friend. Survivors also include: one grandson; Major Ken (April) Pruitt of Montpelier, VA, three granddaughters; Karen (Les) Stapleton, Misti Howell, both of Prestonsburg and Angela (Wes) Allen of Corbin; five great grandsons one great granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Sandy Howell and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one son; Barry Howell, one grandson, Heath Endicott and two sisters; Willa Mae Branham and Marietta Crager.
Pallbearers will be: Ken Pruitt, Will Pruitt, Trey Stapleton, Scott Stapleton, Wes Allen and Les Stapleton. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Crager, Buford Crager, Martin Endicott, Bob Pruitt, Raymond Seals, Al Gunter, Ben Hale, Roscoe Branham, Paul Branham, Gary Branham, Woodie Branham and Don Branham.
The funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 3L at Community United Methodist Church with Rev. John Carwell officiating. Burial will follow in the Bingham Family Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M until 9:00 P.M. at the Carter Funeral Home and 10A.M. Saturday at the church.
