Alka Irene George Rice, 89, years of age,, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Baptist Health, Louisville, KY. Born August 12, 1926, at Prestonsburg, she was the daughter of the late James George and Addie Conley George. She was a loving homemaker. Alka was preceded in death by a twin sister, Alta George who died at birth. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers: Marcus, Marvin and Orville Mearl George and 4 sisters: Carma Litz, Vada Glancy, Geneva George and Myrtle Emrich Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Ann Rice of Louisville, a son Kenneth Rice of Louisville, KY 2 grandchildren, Dena Lynn Millner, Chris M. Rice and 1 great grandson, Cody Millner.The family has requested memorials to the Alzheimers Association, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans Ln, Ste 401, Louisville, KY 40205.
