James E. (Jim) Dillion, 91, of Ivel passed away July 7 following an extended illness. He was born August 19, 1925 in Ivel, Ky and was a lifelong resident there. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Smith Dillion and daughter Kathy Dillion. He is survived by a son, Jimmie Dillion; a daughter, Jackie Dillion; 3 grandsons, Jamie, Justin, and Matt (Melissa) Dillion. He is also survived by a great granddaughter, Ruthie Dillion; a sister, Polly (Elmer) Bolwing and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, July 9 from noon until 9 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held for family only. In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations be made to "The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research" or a church/charity of your desire.
