William Lloyd Wells, 91, of Auxier passed away Thursday, April 27 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. He is a decorated veteran who was honorably discharged from the Navy after faithfully serving his country for many years. He then became a teacher in Floyd County and helped shape the lives of many young people. He is survived by 1 sister Jean W. Hunt of Laurel, MD, 3 brothers, Charles B. Wells and John Thomas Wells, both of Lawrenceburg, KY and Ronald Ray Wells, of Georgetown, KY. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Jill) Owens Wells, a sister, Laura Wells, and a brother, Dr. James Wells. Visitation will be Monday at 11 a.m. with the funeral service following at 2 p.m at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel. Carter Funeral Home is honored to have been chosen to provide the services for Mr. Wells and his family.
