Carl Dixon 95 years of age, passed away Sunday November 30, 2014 at Oakmont Manor in Flatwoods Kentucky.Born December 14, 1918 in Riceville, Kentucky he was the son of the late Manfrod Dixon and Lora B. May Dixon. He was a member of the Oak Street Chapel in Flatwoods, KY. He was formerly employed by Princess Elkhorn Coal Company. Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Jean Mullins Dixon on March 21, 2009. He proudly served his country in the U.S.Army during World War II. Survivors include a son, Carl Douglas Dixon of Lexington, KY, a daughter, Judith Carol Dixon Stone of Danville, West Virginia , a brother, Paul Dixon of Columbus Ohio and 2 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. Services are December 3, 2014 at 1pm at Carter Funeral Home Chapel, Prestonsburg, KY with Rev. Rick Swearingrn and Jerry Bias officiating. Burial will be in Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, KY. Visitation will be December 3, 2014 from 10am until time of service.
